A Competitors View of the Derbyshire Fell & Dales Show - June 2007

I thought the Bakewell show was great, it was Sinbad's first ever show and my first time at the Derbyshire Fells and Dales show, and we had a great day. Everyone was really friendly and supportive, and it was an excellent start to Sinbad's show career - I am so proud of him and he didn't put a hoof wrong all day. For information, he is the 4-yr-old Dalefoot Sinbad, was 2nd in his in-hand (class 5a), but then won the 'ponies in their first season of ridden classes' novice ridden (class 24). I'd not been in the show ring on a Fell pony (after five years showing Highlands) for about 8 years, so it was lovely to have such an angel of a pony to come back on. He was an absolute star all day and we'll definitely make the journey up again next year...... Frances Martin. (Moreton-in-Marsh)
